Max Waldman was an American photographer whose work centered on the performing arts, known for capturing the most beautiful moments ballet dancers such as Natalia Makarova and Gelsey Kirkland brought to the stage.

I was given the opportunity to acquire all of the tees from Waldman's estate. By chance, I met Carol, who inherited the estate after his passing in 1981. She had preserved a collection of tees, posters, and original prints of his work—many of which I had never seen surface on the market. She was kind enough to share them with me.
